Handwoven Tibetan Rug
100% Natural Dyes: dark gold hemp and wool.
The recessed area is hemp loop-pile; the raised rectangles are thick wool cut-pile. The raised border has flecks of hemp woven in. This is a very thick rug (about 3/4" thick). We do not soften our hemp with chemicals, so the recessed hemp has a coarse feel to it (the wool is soft).
No chemical treatments used.
