Handwoven Tibetan Rug
Lots of texture and interest! The gold wool is a thick, raised pile; the natural colored hemp a lower, loop-pile. There are rows of silk throughout. Our hemp has a coarse feel because we do not use chemicals to soften it. You can see in the images that the weaver on the rightside used a slightler lighter color of hemp.
Beautiful, natural dye rugs. Each rug is one-of-a-kind. Handwoven in Nepal with organic Tibetan wool. No chemical treatments are used (moth/stain proofing, glues or fire retardants), so there is no toxic off-gassing.
